Last chance to play along with December's "Anything Goes" challenge!

We have two final projects to share before everyone welcomes in 2014!

From our smashbooker Karyn:

Just love the blues with the black.  I really love the blank canvas you start with in a smash book!  Truly a work of art, each and every page.

From the Project Lifer Kirsten:

I love the fact that she used such a variety of pocket pages.  Project life is such a fantastic way to keep all the pictures you want to without looking busy and unorganized. Kirsten also created a few collages to incorporate what looks like an amazing day!

Thank you for sharing ladies!

If you want to play along, you have one more day to link up!

Anything Goes with Candice!

Candice is part of our smash team and she is sharing today.

She says this is simple, but look what a little doodling and sequins can do!  They can make your page look 'so dang magical!'

Thanks Candice!

Documenting December Pocket Style

When I decided to tackle a daily/weekly project for the Christmas season this year, I knew that it would be best to use a pocket style album. I am using a kit + my stash this year.
I mixing in some larger pages to include photos and memorabilia as the season goes on. What a better title page than these two little reindeer? My toddler and I are having a blast creating handimals and feetimals on the weekends as filler for my album. Someday, it will be fun to look back on how little her feet and hands were.
Using an envelope is a great way to add extra journaling. I can add more tags if I want to as time goes on...
I love to include tiny photos and a journaling tag on my cards- it helps me to tell the small stories that happen throughout each day.
Lastly, I used some patterned paper to add an extra inch of width (2.5 inches of paper folded and then glued to the envelope) so that I could punch holes and not interfere with the card's ability to slide fully into the envelope. This is how I added this year's Christmas card into my album.

How do you document your holiday season? Do you include it in your PL/Smash album or dedicate a separate album for the season? Or both?

How you do include memorabilia in your albums?

Thanks for stopping by!

More December *Anything Goes*

I'm not sure where you live, but here in Northern Ontario we have snow - and lots of it!  My girls would rather be outside playing so there is little time to scrap.  The *Anything Goes* challenge is just perfect for situations like these!

Here are a few projects from our team!

Amanda has such an interesting way of documenting her memories, I think we'll have to bug her for a post later on and give us more detail!  Make sure you visit her blog if you want to know more before that happens!

Carol's project this month is clean and fresh, much like the air on their faces as they were driving!  I love the use of the Washi tape.  Such a personal favourite, it's just so easy to use!

Caroline created this card that I imagine will make it's way onto one of her Project Life spreads for December!  I love that she plans ahead.  I sure could learn something from her!

We still have more projects to share this month, so get creating and we will be back soon!

December challenge **Anything Goes**

Welcome to our December challenge at Life in Details.  We are expecting this month to be hectic so we are offering the easiest challenge ever!  Anything Goes!!!

Anything Goes with the following super easy restrictions, it must created in the Project Life pocket style scrapping or in a smash book.  Easy peasy as my kids would say.

So lets begin with our December Guest Designer Billie-Jean Beveridge from Have My Cake and Eat it Too!

My name is Billie-Jean Beveridge and I am from sunny Queensland, Australia. I am a proud mum to two little girls, Dakotah and Amber, and am currently undergoing my Bachelor of Nursing. I began scrapping almost 10 years ago after the birth of my eldest and haven't looked back since. I scrap as often as I can and I like to experiment with different styles and techniques, ultimately so long as I get to make a mess and create I am happy. My favourite things to use when I scrap, right now, would be my distressing tool, my Paints/Glimmermists/Inks, Texture Paste and lastly my 3D tape, everything else is a bonus.

What a gorgeous way to preserve such precious memories!

You have until December 31 to link up with us for your chance to be February's Guest Designer!  Can't wait to see what you create!
